The EPA recently sent
a letter to the Texas Railroad Commission commenting on that agency’s
recently-proposed rule amendments for wastewater injection wells. While
the letter contains several minor, technical criticisms of the proposed rule
amendments, the general tone of the letter is positive. In the words of
the EPA’s managers, the “RRC’s proposed regulatory changes represent a step
forward . . . .”
